Common Questions

What Would You Like to Know?

Open any question below to view a concise explanation.

What does BR Economy provide?

BR Economy provides practical information and selected introductions relating to business accounts, international company formation, UK mobile solutions and digital security tools.

We do not operate a bank, payment institution, mobile network, VPN service or password-management platform. The relevant third-party provider delivers the product or service.

Can BR Economy guarantee that my business account application will be approved?

No. Account approval is always decided by the bank, electronic money institution or payment provider reviewing the application.

The decision may depend on the company’s ownership, country, business activity, expected transactions, documents and the provider’s current risk policies.

What information is normally required for a business account application?

Requirements vary, but providers commonly ask for:

  • Company registration documents
  • Director, shareholder and beneficial-owner details
  • Identity and residential-address verification
  • A clear description of the business activity
  • Expected turnover, transactions and payment countries
  • Source of funds or source of wealth evidence where relevant

See our Business Account Requirements guide for a fuller explanation.

Can non-resident founders open a business account?

Some providers accept non-resident directors or shareholders, while others require applicants to live in a supported country.

Eligibility can also depend on the company’s registration country, ownership structure, business model and expected payment activity. Applicants should always check the provider’s current requirements before applying.

Why are there several different business account providers?

Providers differ in supported countries, currencies, payment methods, onboarding requirements, fees and business categories. A provider suitable for one company may not be suitable for another.

The aim of the Business Accounts page is to help visitors compare relevant options before applying.

How does the UK SIM card referral work?

BR Economy provides a referral link to an independent UK mobile provider. The visitor completes the order and activates the service directly with that provider.

Availability, delivery, pricing, mobile coverage, activation and customer support are determined by the mobile provider.

What is Surfshark and how do I obtain it?

Surfshark is a third-party VPN service that can add an encrypted connection when browsing, travelling or using public and shared networks.

Visitors purchase and manage the subscription directly through Surfshark using the referral link shown on the Surfshark VPN page .

How does the NordPass enquiry service work?

Visitors complete a short business enquiry form describing their company size and password-management requirements.

With the submitter’s consent, BR Economy reviews and forwards the enquiry to NordPass or an authorised representative for relevant follow-up. Pricing, demonstrations, contracting, onboarding and support are handled by the provider.

Does BR Economy receive compensation from referral links?

BR Economy may receive compensation when a visitor completes an eligible purchase, application or enquiry through a referral or affiliate link.

This normally does not increase the price paid by the customer. Where relevant, a disclosure is shown on the applicable page.

Is BR Economy providing legal, financial or regulated advice?

No. BR Economy provides general information and non-regulated referral or enquiry-coordination services.

We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, banking, payment, lending, fiduciary, nominee or other regulated advice. Businesses requiring specialist advice should consult an appropriately qualified independent professional.

Business Account Providers

Selected Account Options for International Businesses

BR Economy presents selected business-account and multi-currency providers to help visitors understand available options before applying. Eligibility, supported countries, currencies, fees and onboarding requirements can differ.

Does BR Economy recommend one business account provider for everyone?

No. A provider that works well for one company may not suit another. The appropriate option can depend on the company’s registration country, ownership, director residence, business activity, currencies and expected transactions.

Our provider pages are designed to help visitors compare the main differences before deciding where to apply.

Where can I compare the business account providers presented by BR Economy?

Visit the Business Accounts section for selected providers, or use the regional guides to explore additional account options by country and region.

Applications and final eligibility decisions are handled by the relevant provider.

Company Formation by Country

Quick Answers for International Founders

A short introduction to four jurisdictions covered by BR Economy. Each country has its own detailed guide covering formation, documentation, business accounts and ongoing obligations.

European Union

Bulgaria

Can a non-resident form a company in Bulgaria?

Yes. International founders can generally own Bulgarian limited liability companies. Two commonly used structures are an EOOD for a single owner and an OOD for two or more owners.

The company needs a Bulgarian registered seat and address of management. Company ownership should be considered separately from personal residence, immigration and tax.

Is VAT registration automatic when a Bulgarian company is formed?

No. Incorporating an EOOD or OOD does not by itself mean that the company must immediately register for VAT. Registration depends on the applicable turnover and transaction rules, and other VAT grounds can also apply.

United Kingdom

UK

Can a non-UK resident form and own a UK limited company?

Yes. A director does not generally need to live in the UK simply to form or own a UK limited company. The company must, however, maintain an appropriate registered office in its UK jurisdiction.

Does registering a UK company guarantee a business account?

No. Company registration and business-account approval are separate processes. Banks and financial providers apply their own eligibility, KYC and risk-assessment requirements, including rules for non-resident owners and directors.

Asia

Hong Kong

Can a non-resident form a Hong Kong company?

Yes. Non-Hong Kong residents can incorporate a local limited company. A private company needs at least one natural-person director, while the company also needs a Hong Kong registered office and an eligible company secretary.

Are all overseas profits automatically tax-free in Hong Kong?

No. Hong Kong uses a territorial profits-tax system, but the source of profits is determined from the real profit-producing activities and transactions.

Foreign-sourced profits can fall outside the Hong Kong profits-tax charge in appropriate circumstances, but offshore treatment should never be assumed automatically.

United States

US LLC

Can a non-US resident own a US LLC?

In many cases, yes. A person does not generally need to live in the United States simply to own an LLC, although formation requirements and ongoing obligations depend on the state and the company’s circumstances.

Which states does the BR Economy US LLC guide compare?

The guide focuses on Delaware, Wyoming and New Mexico. It compares practical formation points such as Registered Agents, company documents, EIN preparation, business-account considerations and ongoing compliance.

Forming an LLC does not by itself determine the owner’s US or home-country tax position and does not guarantee a bank or fintech account.
